Andrew Rush Community Services Manager
Andrew has extensive professional experience within the community sector including as a former Family Counsellor, Family Therapy Team Leader and Family Services Case Manager for Berry Street Victoria as well as a Youth Support Team Leader for the City of Stonnington.
He has also been a sessional teacher for the School of Social and Community Services at the Victoria University of Technology and a philosophy tutor for LaTrobe University.
He holds a Graduate Diploma of Social Science (Gestalt Therapy) from Swinburne University’s Gestalt Institute of Melbourne; a Master of Arts (Research) from La Trobe University, Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Philosophy and Politics from Monash University and a Graduate Diploma in Recreation from the Philip Institute of Technology.
He believes that when focusing on developing respectful, compassionate and empowering relationships with families, Child FIRST and CPS Intake provide the critical ‘front door’ for families to access support in order to improve the chances their children will have to thrive.
