For too long 'sorry' seemed to be the hardest word.
It's now been ten years since then Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd delivered a long-awaited apology to the Stolen Generations in Parliament.
Whilst the apology served as a vital stepping stone on the path to Reconciliation, many Aboriginal people of all ages are still dealing with the effects of intergenerational trauma.
Through our Reconciliation Action Plan, we are committed to engaging meaningfully and respectfully with First Nation community and families, appreciating there are small stepping stones to be laid every day to alleviate a range of problems linked to intergenerational trauma that affect far too many Aboriginal children and families.
