Neighbourhood based teams in Darebin, Whittlesea, Banyule and Nillumbik provide personal, practical and social support to families with children aged 0-18years. Appointments can be in your own home or at our neighbourhood offices, or another agreed place.
It is a free, community based service which provides a range of programs for families who are experiencing difficulties that impact on their parenting and family life.
We offer:
• Counselling and support to assist in resolving family problems.
• Social support for parents and children.
• Information and advice about child development and links to children's services including kindergartens, child care and playgroups.
• Individual and group based support, education and skills development in raising healthy, happy children for parents and others looking after children.
• Assistance to parents in getting help from other services such as housing, Centrelink, disability services, adult health services and child health services.
• Assistance and support to families to address the causes and harms of child abuse and neglect.
• Information and links to other community groups and services.
Our qualified and experienced staff work together with families to identify their needs and develop goals to address these needs.
