HELPING TO BUILD STRONGER FAMILIES
Child FIRST provides information and advice to families or professionals where there are concerns about a child’s wellbeing. The aim is to ensure that vulnerable children, young people and their families are linked with community services and supports.
Child FIRST North East is a partnership between the nine family service agencies in north east Melbourne and the Victorian Government’s Department of Health & Human Services who work together to provide targeted and individualised support.
Referrals can come directly from families or other professionals and may include concerns around parenting, family conflict, physical or mental health issues, substance misuse and social isolation. Child FIRST North East is managed by the Children’s Protection Society on behalf of the members of the Alliance.
